The West Virginia Mountaineers go on the road to oppose the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Big-12 college football action.
The West Virginia Mountaineers offense continued to light up the scoreboard in a 47-10 rout of visiting TCU as a two touchdown favorite. Both teams committed two turnovers but West Virginia easily overcame their mistakes with a 535-222 yardage edge.
The Mountaineers did plenty of damage through the air with Will Grier completing 25-39 for 343 yards and three touchdowns along with an interception.
Martell Pettaway, Leddy Brown and Kennedy McKoy gave WVU a competent ground game with a combined 152 yards and three touchdowns while Trevon Wesco and David Sills IV catching eleven passes for 157 yards and a TD each.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys gave everything they had in a 48-47 defeat at Oklahoma as a three touchdown underdog. Oklahoma State totaled 640 yards but gave up 702 yards with the Sooners being able to both run and throw as they pleased.
Taylor Cornelius connected on 34-53 for 501 yards and three touchdowns but his two point conversion throw with a minute left fell incomplete.
When the Cowboys ran Chuba Hubbard generally did the damage with 104 yards and three TD’s on 22 carries. Tylan Wallace led the OSU receiving corps with ten receptions for 220 yards and two scores while Tyron Johnson caught eleven throws for 128 yards and a TD.
